Room arrangements aren’t just about placing furnishings in an attractive way. A good space plan is one that places furniture for function. It makes a room one that’s easy to live in… so important because all rooms are in reality “living rooms.”An interior designer’s goal is to create a space that is practical & comfortable for the individuals who use that space. Yes, the furniture itself is important, but spacing is key:
Is there room for people to easily move through the space?
Are there tables within easy reach of seating?
Is the arrangement practical for the activities that happen there?
It’s not whether the furnishings physically fit into a room that matters most. It’s how well the separate pieces are spaced to make a room usable and enjoyable.
